These Gum nuts I found whilst out bush walking in the Southern Tablelands of NSW. Adoring the little star like centre, I had to collect it from the earth and whisk it back to the studio to be made into stud earrings.
Gum nuts are the woody fruit from the Eucalyptus tree.
Made in solid sterling silver and 9ct gold.
The gum nut measures 6mm round x 4mm deep.
Post measures 0.9mm thick and 11mm in length.
Comes with butterfly backs.
